This is a curated selection of venues I personally love and recommend-including places I've experienced firsthand-to help you find the perfect setting for your day.  

I am biased as I was married here in 2020. Here is some unbiased  information about the gardens:

• Storybook garden setting with lush flowers, fountains, and waterfront views- perfect for romantic outdoor ceremonies
• Multiple ceremony spots to choose from, including the Sunken Garden, Great Lawn, and near the iconic Queen Elizabeth statue
• Elegant but relaxed OBX vibe, ideal for couples wanting a beautiful, nature-filled wedding without the feel of a traditional venue
• It was very windy on the sound at the Overlook Terrace-  something to consider

• Historic home turned boutique wedding venue
• Intimate, upscale garden + indoor reception feel
• Only one wedding per day = super private experience 

• Luxury ocean- to- sound setting- one of the only venues on the OBX where you can have both sunrise ocean views and sunset sound views in one place
• Full-service wedding experience with on-site planning, catering, spa, and guest accommodations- making it easy to host your entire wedding weekend in one location. 
• Multiple stunning venues on property, from beachfront ceremonies to the new Sunset Ballroom with panoramic water views for elevated reception

• Say your vows right over the ocean- it doesn't get any more Outer Banks than a ceremony on a working pier
• Go for  a sunrise wedding if you can- you'll beat the crowds and get that soft, glowing light
• Super easy for guests since it's connected to the Hilton Garden Inn Outer Banks/Kitty Hawk- no driving, no stress, just walk from ceremony to celebration

Every year the Outer Banks Wedding Association puts on the Outer Banks Wedding Expo, I suggest you come, if you can, and talk to vendors, get a feel for what your vibe is. Things to consider is how much driving you want to do or have your guests do. Things are spread out here. I recommend staying in the town where you are getting married.
